I have a cat, but I was told by my doctor not to take in any strays while being pregnant due to toxoplasmosis. You are able to get this from cat feces and it is now my husbands job to clean the litter box, but there are other ways of contaimination. Stray cats or cats that are outdoor cats have a higher risk of carrying this disease. So I can't take any chances.
