When I was a kid I almost never played out in the snow. My mom was the kind of mom that worried to much about me getting sick too.
On the rare occasion, very rare occasion that it would be allowed it just wasn't worth it. The neighborhood kids would just about have their snowmen built by the time my mom was putting my fourth layer of clothing on me.
While the other kids were running and tumbling in the snow or dropping to the ground to make snow angels, I could only stand there watching like a stuffed sausage.
Not only could I not bend at the hip to even reach the snow, but if I would have laid down to attempt a snow angel, I would have never been able to get back up to my feet....LOL
