I had three kids, had them each within two months of trying to get pregnant. I had easy, healthy pregnancies and healthy babies. The same day I had my third, I got my tubes tied. Four months later my husband of 7 years decided he wanted a divorce. I remarried a year later and my husband had not kids. We did three rounds of In-Vitro. I thought, since I conceived easily, it would be a walk in the park. The first time I did not get any eggs. The second time, I got only two eggs, but neither took, the third time, I got four eggs, only one took so we implanted but it did not result in a pregnancy. Normally, you should get about 12-20 eggs per cycle of medication, but I did not. It was as if my body was having a reverse reaction to the medications. I was doing 4 or 6 shots each day, can't remember and taking the maximum dosages. I still think if the Doc had just watched my ovulation, taken the natural egg, everything would have worked. However, the were not willing to do that. they said I must do the injections to get the maximum possibility of getting a good egg. Needless to say, after three unsuccessful rounds, the Doctor suggested an egg donor, but my husband didn't want to do that. So, we closed that chapter about 4 years ago. As far as giving myself the injections and stuff, it was not bad. I am terrified of needles and expected it to be a horrible experience, but it was really not a big deal. We were fortunate, the insurance paid for our procedures, all we had was the co-pays for the meds, so it only costs us $200 for each cycle!!
    Good luck!!
