My oldest son's grade school had the DARE (drug awareness resistance education) program. I assume they are still doing that? He got a certificate for completion. The DARE officer came to the school several times and they all discussed the different drugs, their effects, etc. My 2 littlest guys are too little for that yet but I'm hoping they still do the program.
I remember him coming home and asking lots of questions so we could further discuss the issues. Very helpful information they sent home and a way to ease into the subject with your child when they're pushing it at the schools. Zero tolerance!
