My acid reflux gave me pneumonia, which one of the quacks here in Granite, with his radiology friend (of the same ethnic background), erroneously diagnosed as lung cancer--scaring the crap out of me and our family, and causing me to have to undergo some additional costly testing.
Thank goodness I went to an "American" doctor, who diagnosed the "classic" problem from the first picture that had been taken--and called the whole other ordeal I went through, a "scam". The other medical group was about to (unnecessarily) stick a needle in my lung!!!
Yes, I have changed doctors. I never realized my heartburn could cause such problems, but I've brought it under control without the prescribed pills, which seemed to upset my stomach much more than anything else had ever done. I've had to totally adjust my previously poor eating habits.
