We had someone knock on our door at 6 am offering to shovel the driveway and sidewalks.
My hubby said thanks but no thanks, and warned him that he wasn't likely to get a whole lot of response at 6 am. I'm tempted to put a sign on the door today saying "Newborn sleeping, please don't knock or ring" because I have a feeling we'll get a few more of those today and I just don't feel like dealing with it.
(And before anyone says anything about just not answering the door, I tried that when the baby was only a few days old. Some freaking teenagers wanting to rake our leaves rang the gull-durn bell SIX TIMES before I couldn't ignore it anymore and I got up, threw open the door and gave them a piece of my postpartum, sleep-deprived, hormonal mind.)
