I'm sorry for your loss MrsC . Sometimes kids do go in search, or maybe they get it via someone spiking a drink or food etc. What they are not mature enough to understand is that so much stuff, is not just addictive, but it is addictive after only 1 try. So addictive, that their is no turning back from it without help. They are not mature enough to know in advance, that once you do it, you are no longer in control of your own faculties, the drug is. Most kids, have it that they are immortal. The " it won't happen to me" syndrome.
Even prescribed drugs some of them are the same way.
The result, besides death to the abuser, is sometimes death to others who are not even using it. Also, we now have as many Dr's and nurses who are as paranoid over it as the drug users. Seriously, if you think someone is abusing, do a drug test, and if they are not stop treating them like they are. Assess each patient on their own merit.
