I just checked out the Granite City APA site. They have some amazing furry people looking for forever families. They have icons to show you which animals are not good with cats, kids, or dogs. But even those animals would be good for an older couple. Give the gift of unconditional love for years to come. Studies show that animal owners have lower blood pressure, smaller belt sizes and better mental health than those without furry family members. So you would be giving the gift of health, love and snuggles for years to come. Really a cheap family present if you figure it all out. Before you ask, no I don't work there. Years ago we got a dog named Brutus there, he was an American Bulldog. He looked like Chance from Homeward Bound. I wanted to name him Ferdinand, because he loved to smell my neighbors flowers and he was such a lover. He slept with our children, watched our house, snuggled us when we were sad, made us laugh and was a faithful member of our family. He was an absolute joy to our family. So In his memory find it in your heart this year to bring home a dog in need of a family. Rather you realize it or not you are a family in need of a dog.
