I have read numerous articles regarding the new scanners.
And one recurring theory stands out...they are making the "pat downs" so extremely invasive, that it will force people to opt for the scanner.
And EVERYONE with half a brain knows, no matter how much they insist those images will not be recorded nor stored in any fashion, it is just a ticking time bomb.
Now think about this. Say if it was YOUR job to review the scanned images as passengers had them done, and you were sitting next to your co-worker, could you honestly say you might not get ripped up over something, or could remain straight laced if something unusual, not dangerous, but unusual was revealed?
I know I couldn't. And I think anyone who says differently is full of hooey.
Personally, as much as I like to travel, this scan thing and/or the "feeling up" of my junk, it's just not going to happen. I'll be bound by the limits of my automobile from here on out.
