The automated balls-strikes challenge system seems to be proving that many managers can tell a ball from a strike in the dugout better than the umpires can on the field. One of these umpires had six challenges and lost all six, even using common core math, that isn't a very good record.

Many of these umpires are frustrated athletes who think the game is about them and not the players. We are on the verge of having the technology to all but eliminate them from the game and I cant wait for that day. If anything the problem is even worse in football. I am sure the umpires union wont like it, but maybe they can get a gig servicing the cameras and computers, or even selling hotdogs.
