Don “The Con” Trump is so comically predictable that, again, it’s hard not to view his supporters as willfully ignorant, gullible, or stupid.
If he loses an election, it’s always “rigged.” Whether it’s the 2016 GOP Iowa caucus he lost to Ted Cruz, the 2016 popular vote he lost to Hillary Clinton, or the 2020 election, it’s always “totally rigged.”
If there’s any kind of investigation into anything he does — or anything one of his associates has done — it’s always a “witch hunt.”
When there are mass protests against him, it’s always “paid actors and professionals.”
Whenever one of his supporters does something vile or violent toward a Democrat, it’s always “probably something they staged to have happen.”
If he’s signing an executive order to authorize something that a president shouldn’t have the unilateral ability to do on their own, it’s a “national emergency” or “for national security.”
In the instances where he agrees to an interview and the journalist pushes back against his propaganda, it’s always “they’re totally nasty and unfair.”
If it’s positive, even if he had nothing to do with it, he wants to take all the credit.
If it’s negative, it’s never his fault or it’s “totally fake news.”
If it’s something negative he’s unsure how to respond to, he claims, “I don’t know, this is the first I’m hearing about it,” often followed by him trying to throw someone else under the bus.
It’s the same shit over and over and over… and over.
He’s so incredibly predictable. There are movies I’ve seen 100 times that are less predictable than Trump’s bullshit rhetoric and propaganda.
It’s astonishing that there are tens of millions of people who refuse to see it.
