Chris Cuomo said Wednesday night, after his brother Andrew Cuomo was soundly defeated in the New York City Democratic Mayoral primary by Democrat Socialist Zohran Mamdani, that the Democratic Party is "dead."

“That Democrat party is dead,” said Cuomo, a lifelong liberal. "What will it be reborn as? We will see. The winner is an open socialist, and the Democrat Party is now just that: socialistic.”
