I’m Southern born and bred to gather friends and family and run to the storm shelter when the sky is cloudy and winds are gusting at 20 mph.
This is the Midwest where people video the incoming funnel cloud until you see the structure you’re in sucked up and demolished.
I got a mess here, two big trees and was really ready to have one big pity party until I got out and about, and saw the tenacity and perseverance of this community.
It really made me proud to be a transplant.
A few hours after the 15 minute event, if not sooner, midwestern men were out with their chainsaws, women and children picking up and piling shrubs, limbs and branches at curbside.
Even Midwestern seniors!
So, I came home, inspired, with no more urge to "Boohoo!", pulled out my trusty but dusty, SAKER (handheld mini chainsaw) and went to work.
If NORAD wanted to bring the subject here, he freely could have. I can’t figure out the problem.
I speak American English, so my pronunciation sounds like, “I” RAN and “I” RACK. Carte blanche
