The names of the ex husband and the others have been released. The ex-husband is Sam Shafer Jr, he and is family own Shafer Excavating in Pontoon Beach. The actual killer was paid 10K and split the money with another man who drove the getaway car.

Shafer and his now ex-wife used to own the Bridge Inn in Caseyville.
