Trump did not like Fauci, and the media always tried to get them to squabble so that they could of course take Fauci's side. At no point did Trump support the mandates and he was naive and even stupid to believe the pharmaceuticals could be trusted. His USA-USA way of thinking was noble but unfortunately unwise.
