Channel 5 was apparently downtown today and had a short report tonight on the election challenges. Looks like all three candidates were removed for a variety of reasons including signature issues and not bundling form according to the rules.

Parkinson defended the action saying he had to follow the rules, everyone does.

The Benda woman wasn't happy and is going to court whereas the Flores woman said in the printed interview on KSDK web site that she will run a write in campaign. The transgender candidate apparently accepted the results.

As has been pointed out on social media, if you can't handle filling out petitions, you really can't handle the job of mayor.

Also noted on media is that if Benda does get on the ballot and loses, she will have lost three elections as alderman and mayor. Maybe get a clue?

Well at least when they interviewed her, she had all her teeth which is a step up from who the news people usually interview.

One note, the Channel 5 reporter signed of smirking and saying election day is April Fools day. Kind of rude.
