There might be things I worry about more than my accounts or even people I care about beyond 'me and mine'.

I know I'll be fine.

But that view is not in the majority any more. The idea of 'common good' is an antiquated concept and probably reviled as socialism when brought out.

It's just different value systems at play I guess.
