The powerlessness of one vote...in these grand elections that gets everyone to turn out.
But the might of one vote in these other elections that garner less than 10% turnout.
One vote becomes mighty in some of those elections and those are really people that have say over the day-to-day affairs of life.
It's roads, schools, sewers and the such. No one shows up for the things that happen one mile away, but will get themselves all involved in conversations of what is happening 900 miles away.
I suppose over the years there has been lively conversations about Madison County, Nameoki Township, and sometimes about Granite City.
I'm kind of concerned about my library board, I try to download audio books and if I don't do it at midnight, they are out of downloads before noon.
Trump will be a disaster, but I think there are enough protections to keep us afloat....and if Kamala would be the same.....we'll make it through as well.
Election day is that one quiet day where we do our deed, but have to give people time to do their deed as well.....and see what happens.
With polling, the conclusion I saw is that it could go either way....so we have to wait and see.
Oddsmakers picked Trump.....but that's just gamblers for ya. Pollsters said Kamala emerged in the last week....but we've been there before.
So it's just wait and see. It's humbling, really.
If you could reason with MAGA, there would be no MAGA.
