Granite City apparently has another new trendy coffee shop. The former Medicine Shoppe on Johnson Road is now a drive through shop featuring, "trendy" coffees.

Add this to Manhattan's and we seem to be "moving on up". So take that Starbucks.

Now I still prefer the stuff Mrs. O. makes in our Mr. Coffee maker but she and her friends like those fresh and fruity mocha lotta ice cube coffees.

Good luck to the new owners. I understand former Mayor Schuler's offspring are the owners. I hope they do as good a job as he did as mayor. I always liked Paul and thought he had a good heart for his city and people.

Now if we just had a golf supply store with a simulator, I would be a sure vote for this mayor and his administrative team.

I wonder how many businesses would have come here if Mr. Cohen or Bailey had won the last mayor election.
