The fact that the verdict was not guilty on all counts is truly shocking to me.
I realize that there is more to it, and that the prosecutions case at time was weak.
There were no counts of even endangerment that could stick to him or the birth deliverer who dropped him off at the site?
Justice wasn't done.
Maybe I found a clever line...but we both know what would happen if he got out of the car and did the same thing but happened not to be white.
Would he still have been that 'good guy with a gun?'
But I could easily in no time drop race from the conversation and still say that justice did not prevail.
If there was reasonable doubt that it was murder, it seemed to me beyond a reasonable doubt that he was still there with the intent to antagonize and create a dangerous situation... Then all of a sudden it was self-defense?
When you ban books before you ban guns, you've admitted that you're more afraid of children learning than you are of children dying.
