Last night we had our first football camp at the park and in my view it was a success.
Kids, Parents, and coaches all had fun, and that is what it is about. Especially when that fun storm cloud dumped a bunch of water on us...and yes of course I had us playing for a bit longer till I realized the "light drizzle" was turning into an unauthorized shower.
We have decided to have another camp on 26 July which MAY include cheerleading (stand by for news on that) for kids age 5-11 at Coolidge 1730-1930 (weather permitting).
Is football safe? As safe as it has ever been due to strict "safe tackling", concussion, and other "error heavily on the side of caution" guidelines.

If you are interested (including interested in volunteering, as we are a volunteer only 501(c)3 org), most of your questions will be answered at
GC Braves Football and Cheer
I can also answer on here, as I pop in and if there are questions.
Regardless, youth sports are win/win for the kids and the community in my view.
I look forward to seeing your son or daughter on the field cheering or playing football...or seeing you in the stands at gametime!
