There is still a lot worth watching, even on the not so good days. Like the 10th Inning on Friday night, the only game the Cardinals won. With one strike from losing, they somehow come back in epic fashion.
Yadier Molina still has it and often provides the needed spark.
It's true there's too many disappointments as well, but it's just not their year.
I'm sure the folks in Milwaukee are really sorry that it's not the Cards and Cubs battling for first and second this year. I bet it breaks their hearts as the Brew Crew seems like they're ready to run away with the central division,. I'm sure the sympathy from Cincinnati is similar...
Otherwise MLB has become --- Yankees/Red Sox - Cardinals/Cubs Dodgers/Giants and maybe Phillies/Mets or either team against the Braves.
It's good that other teams are getting noticed...and it's good for the game. It's good the Padres are a team to finally be concerned about. And the Chicago White Sox...our friends by virtue of being enemies of our enemies...are finally the team in Chicago to watch.
It's good for the game --- as long as the Cardinals don't have too many bad years in a row.
I don't think they should call for Shildt's job....afterall, I sometimes think that he probably has little overall say over what goes on anyway.
Now some front office revamping? Might be able to get on board.
When you ban books before you ban guns, you've admitted that you're more afraid of children learning than you are of children dying.
