The fountain is slated to be rehabbed this fall or next spring by the Park District. I learned this after discussing the eyesore with the director of parks.

I wish the city would do a better job taking care of the landscaped islands downtown. Residents want to see our downtown be successful. The city spent lots of money to have the islands installed. I wish they spend money to keep them maintained.
