Subway itself is not that spectacular of a chain any more. It has very little creativity.
It dubs itself as 'healthy' but the trends in what constitutes 'healthy' are different than what they were in 1993.
It wasn't Jared who killed Subway, with the discovery that he was a sick man (to put it kindly.)
It's the fact that people still think that a big carb bomb with processed cold cuts is still 'healthy'.....
Subway is dying a slow death because of its inability to adapt.
I tell you though, last time I was in town, I really enjoyed a visit to the Uncle Linny's by the old DQ....
I know that local ventures can be fragile at times, but there have been some nice locally-owned restaurants in the GC Area that seem to be really good....and the prices can't be beat.
