Honestly, it may help to understand businesses that do remain open and even a few coming online that the traffic is mainly moving in a store. People do not stay in one place, breath on one another, cough on one another...etc... Singing propels droplets of saliva as much as coughing. I'm in one of the more quiet churches, but imagine where the preacher calls out a Hallelujah and the congregation calls back a Praise the Lord...
I'll ruin the imagination by saying that a number of congregants, preachers, priests have come down with covid en masse.
I just hate like hell when people resort to comparisons to Hitler.
You say that people are rounded up in nursing homes and 'exterminated'... How would it be if we started filling up churches to capacity with people breathing each others air?
It seems to me like people are also blindly going to their deaths as well.
And like I say, any church that can only exist with people in the building.... probably is on its way out anyway.
