The ILACP, along with the Illinois Coalition for Public Safety and the Illinois Senate Republican Caucus, are questioning why convicted murderers are being released from prison early by having their sentences commuted by Governor JB Pritzker. This is apparently being done without notification to the victims of their crimes, their families, witnesses in the cases, law enforcement leaders, judges who decided their sentences, or members of the Illinois General Assembly. Attached to this post are images of letters sent to Governor JB Pritzker seeking answers on this deeply troubling situation.
