Our efforts were relatively successful.
Republicans will say it's because we had good staff who worked hard.
Democrats will say we were lucky.
Adler will say it was some of both.
JB's disaster proclamation was thrown out in court today, but not for everyone. Presumably, in Illinois, disasters can only last 30 days, and even then, we have COVID-19 controlled to that of a bad flu season.
We have plenty of medical assets (beds) available.
The fire? Not out, but controlled, here anyway.
The economic ramifications of this will last far beyond the medical ones. I'm more pessimistic about that. My opinion is that if the testing was available, this would have been controlled almost immediately.
Quarantine the nursing home; but not the neighborhood around it.
All because the testing was unavailable.
As testing improves, vaccines will become available, and this threat passes...this time anyway.
