We ALL complain about politics at the National level and how they should "for the good of the country" settle their difference and work things out, but yet we allow the very same thing to happen election after election at the local level.
If we are so tired of these appointments whether it's this last one or the countless others that have been going on for decades (which are nothing more than political favors) then WHY do we keep electing the same people?
I know that question has been asked before but again NOTHING CHANGES!
Two party politics has destroyed us! Local elections should be non-partisan.
In regard to the appointment of Adler to yet another position, while I agree this virus needs attention in the worst way I find it hard to believe that Adler is the most qualified and at that salary. We as a community are already strapped as it is. As far as Parkinson being up in arms, is it really because of qualifications or is it because it isn't his party. It's just politics as usual in Madison County.
And let's not forget Adler was replaced when the Democrats took control of the board and changed the rules. Instead of focusing on the the many issues that we all are facing and the needs of the people who "they"are elected to serve, its about how can "they" take care of themselves. No matter what party is in, it's always what's best for the "Party" and not the "People". IT's politics as usual for Madison County which we cant afford any longer!
When are "we" going to finally say enough is enough?
I keep thinking that maybe in the "next" election things will get better. That doesn't ever seem to happen.
I can't even begin to think who can turn this city and county around because it's always the same players just playing musical chairs.
