You are correct, it's good to have people hold me accountable when I have gone below a standard of decency, especially when it is someone who has also made the same commitment.
I know that was a cheap shot at the occupant of the executive mansion.
You notice when I fall below the line and it's good that I am called out for such.
However, the standard you are expecting me to keep is a standard higher than the occupant of aforementioned executive mansion.
To not take pot shots, to not make ad hominem attacks... and most of all to not make cheap shots is a high standard, but still a reasonable expectation of most people.
I surely get that.
However, it is still a standard that seems acceptable to many of the American people. Of course, it's NOT a Majority...not even close. Yet, some way, some how...and with some technicalities in the Constitution... it was an acceptable standard for those who voted for the second-place vote-getter in 2016.
So I will oblige to clean up my standards and pride myself in knowing that my standards are higher than the 'President's'...
