Also, in the "newer" parts of town, aren't the sanitary and storm sewers different lines going different places? I know in downtown, both systems share the same line.
Of course this lawsuit is in answer to the MESD being sued because of the drainage ditches that were in bad shape the day of the flood. Also, the pumps were not turned on until later in the day after it was discovered the community was flooded.
The city needs to put every employee of MESD on a stand, under oath and that will come out.
