Seems there's a little lady on there that doesn't live in the city but wants the city to take care of her flood damaged home. The same woman is trying to instigate a "peaceful" protest at city hall, well at least until she finally had an insurance adjuster come by her house. Now it's not so much of a deal.
Enough about her though because my intention with posting is to let people know that you can't get a law degree watching Judge Joe Brown or Judge Judy. You can't learn how to file a lawsuit and win a case by watching reruns of LA Law or Matlock. Those are television programs and quite often, stray from real courtroom effort.
Yet, through the wonders of the internet, we have people talking about "class action lawsuits" against the city. We have people recommending that people who couldn't afford insurance or chose not to get it, can suddenly afford a $225/hour attorney. Now, can you get an ambulance chaser for a promise of winning you a million dollars? Sure, they operate mostly out of the trunk of their cars or rented space in a cold water flat in downtown Budapest.
You see, anyone can talk about lawsuits and suing the city, but who has the deeper pockets and usually the more experienced attorney?
Be upset, be angry, be aggressive but be smart. Remember, if you sue a city or government entity, you are suing yourself. Guess whose taxes will go up if any cases are filed?
Now back to the Cardinal game. Mrs. O. needs a better past time. LOL
