At least for me, the greatest priority, even over political position is the preservation of human life.
Like I say, there is one thing different from the USA that separates it from the countries that have zero or very few mass shootings...
There is only one difference....
Again...it's not mental illness. It's not violence on TV and video games. It's not whether or not they turn to God(s).
It's the ease of obtaining weapons of war.

I'd rather see human life protected, than protect a coward's 'right' to fire on innocent people.

The Constitution is not unchangeable Divine Law, it's a living document meant to be changed from time to time.
Because I consider myself Pro-Life, I worry about the lives of born people who die by outrageous occurrences of gun violence and will advocate on their behalf.
Nice liberty emoji, but you advocate for a society that is less free and more filled with fear.
If the law places people in danger of death, then change the damn thing.
