a month.....my math says 60% loss of wages. I was in Teamster
Local 705 Chicago, I talked to them, and they avoid me as I have Bubonic Plague. They took my monthly dues for
30.6 years and now they have no time or any answers for me concerning my ( vested pension ).
My company, Rudolf Express Co closed its doors 12/27/2001 with ( no ) prior warning. We received ( zero ) 90 days severance money, just kicked out the door, 450 employees.
I found your message board by accident just tonight.
I went into "forced" retirement 1/1/2002 and I was threatened
by C.S ( not ) to return to work or lose my pension under a real threat. I did not. Now at 72 1/2 I deal with yet another kick in the wallet, but this time from my Pension. I found the following paragraph tonight as well. How true is this, and can you add my name to any email info. list so that I might stay informed.
I sent out 5 registered letters to my Congress persons, Washington DC Treasury Dept. about the H.R bill. Today 2/26/16 I received a letter from C.S about me appealing their cut, and they said I get what they are legally allowed to offer, my $1,205 a month. I appreciate any future update's .... Thanks For Your Time
Former Teamster / Tom Skube, Bradley,Illinois
Pension funds in the “red zone” can legally cut pensions under certain circumstances, affecting those who retired after the date that the fund first informed members that they are in the “red zone.” CSPF has not done this. Also, CSPF has a rule which says if they do make such cuts, they will only affect retirees who have not yet received their 13th monthly check.
