Either is more than a little burble after shutdown.
You may be on to something.
Possibly running the line behind the engine would be a little lower and be accessible.

Thanks Glen. Your comments confirm what I thought. I may change the fuel line routing if I can find a safe way to do so just to keep the fuel "below" the level of the float bowls.
For as long as my wife and I have been this car's caretakers (almost 30 years) we have wondered why the carbs always burp out fuel while sitting with the resulting paint damage to the frame below the carbs.
I just installed new float valves from Joe Curto so I really don't want to blame them for the continuing problem. I am going to continue to tinker with this until I see some improvement. I don't want to continue to ignore this.
