I am glad your new drive tool with the larger diameter made all the difference. I never gave the tool fit any thought. I guess I just got lucky with my choice of materials when I made the oil pump drive tool that I have.
As for the pressure drop, you will probably have more pressure than you want with the initial startup. You really won't know what the final pressure will be until the engine and the oil are up to temperature.

: Hi. I made a shaft of proper dimensions
: and ran it with a drill. Wow did that
: make a difference. Oil pressure poped
: right up to 60 PSI and stayed steady. I
: was worried that I may have had
: something left out or routed wrong
: cause I added a remote filter and
: cooler and completely blocked off the
: original filter area.I brought the oil
: ins and outs directly from the oil pump
: galley and back into the block main
: galley. Hopefully I wont have much
: pressure drop. Any ideas as to what to
: expect in that regard??
