I am looking forward to the gear reduction starter motor. The existing inertia starter failed on us a year ago. There was a heater valve leak that dribbled onto the starter motor which lead to rusty and broken brush springs. The sad thing was that the failure happened the morning we were to take the car to a local show. This year's show is now 2 weeks away. Hopefully we will be ready and confident to drive the car there in 2 weeks.

: Check your advance curve at different
: speeds and see what it wants for best
: running, less a bit to keep it from
: getting into detonation of course. If
: necessary you can play around with the
: distributor counterweight springs and
: modify the travel, so you can get the
: right advance curve for your engine.
: It's a lot of fiddling doing static and
: road tests with different settings but
: can be worth it.
: Also be prepared for an entirely new
: experience the first time you spin it
: up with the gear reduction starter,
: they are well worth it...
