Narrow River on October 11th

Looks like we are going to have a nice day for the trip tomorrow:

Partly sunny, with a high near 66. Light east wind increasing to 5 to 9 mph in the morning. A slight chance of rain after 2pm. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

We will put in at Sprague Bridge:

Additional parking is available on the other side of the river on both sides of Route 1A

We will do a round trip up through Pettaquamscutt Cove and the Narrows between Middlebridge Road and Bridgetown Road – about 6-miles.

High tide is 11:35, so hopefully we will paddle up and back with the tide. Current usually isn't an issue, but it can get windy - especially going through the marsh. Those who are interested can paddle down to the beach when we get back to the bridge.

Tough to know what to wear this time of year. Water is around 67. Air temps in the mid 60's. Change of cloths probably isn't a bad idea.

Bring a lunch.

Planning on attending. I'll through the dry suit in the car but thinking I might cook, especially if it's sunny, and a splash top will be more apropos.

I was debating a wet suit, but I think even that will be too much. We'll see in the moring. I will definitely have a splash top.

We ended up going all the way to Gilbert Stuart Stream. Tony and I also paddled down to the beach.Few pictures here:
