Dinners on Charles in Millis

Re the launch on Rt109 in Millis just west of Medfield. It looks like the further west of the two dinners is being renovated and will be a breakfast/lunch place. The east one closer to the boat ramp is now a hole in the ground as shown in the pic. Word on the street is that it will be a new full-service pub with dinner and a bar.

Tree down by Forest St. / Orchard St. Bridge

Early this season, a tree fell just upstream of the Forest St. / Orchard St. bridge between Mills and Medfield as indicated by the green line. I drove by this last weekend and noticed that just the very top branches, indicated by the box, was sawn off. The leaves a passage not more than a few feet wide between the trunk of the tree and the bank of the river. I haven't been out there in a boat so I do not yet know how passable it is. The stretch from this bridge up to the rt 115 bridge has always had a number of trees down and at times certain spots are not passable.
