Branch River "Ice Breaker", Saturday March16th

*Note this is NOT a flatwater trip, it is a whitewater trip. Just cross-posting it here since this is the more popular board.

Meet at 10:00 at the Branch River access (use 266 Harrisville Main Street, Burrillville RI as a target and follow the driveway off the main rd all the way back to the access), where we will unload boats and then do a shuttle to leave cars downriver. This is a quickwater-Class II whitewater river with a lot of rocks and blowdowns...it is not a beginner river. It includes two short portages, one of which is extremely steep. It is about a 7 mile run. Wetsuits or dry suits are mandatory. Not a friendly river for fiberglass or Kevlar boats. But if rocky whitewater is your jam, it is a fun river on a nice day!

I bet there won’t be much ice in May! I’d love to go take photos, but I'm booked.

Chuck I am assuming you mean March 16th? I can edit your post if I am correct.
