Whitehall Reservoir

Rick Souza lives near Whitehall Reservoir in Hopkinton, Mass. He's able to lead a mid-week trip on Thursdays or Fridays It's a 4-6 mile paddle around the lake and there is supposedly pair of loons that live on the lake thru the year. It would be about the closest spot that you would have to travel or see them. Wetsuits or a change of clothes would be needed at this time of year. Give us a shout if you are interested. We have paddled there before, but would go on a Thursday when we are off every other week! However, we are booked on the 21st, so it’d be 2 weeks later.

I like Whitehall and am interested!!!! (the exclamation points are there because you asked that we give you a SHOUT if interested).

My schedule is very fluid right now so when you post it, if I'm free, I'll most likely be there. I'll check back.

We saw the loons there last year and I have heard that they are still there.

I'm checking with Rick. It will be 64F on Friday with little wind. That may be a good one. I'd say a 10:30 am meet with a 11:00 launch may be the way to go. We could repeat this again on another agreed upon date this spring. Bill

Right now I'm keeping an eye on Friday
April 22nd. Temps are expected to be in the
60's with wind 10 to 15 from the west.
Last Friday turned out to be quite gusty
So let's hope for moderation next week.
Friday is Earth Day, perhaps mother
Nature will smile on us !

Rick has asked that we postpone the trip to Whitehall until next Thursday or Friday 4/21 and 4/22 weather permitting. We will post again. He's had some family issues. Thanks, BIll
