Meet at 9:30 for a 10:00 am launch.
We will paddle the pond, plan to bring a lunch or snack, we will plan to take a lunch break or snack on the ocean following a short sand trail to the ocean and then heading back.
Green Hill Pond offer lots of possibilities for exploration and this is a great area for wildlife viewing
Launch: Charlestown DEM boat ramp off Charlestown Beach Road.

Nearest Town Center: Charlestown Beach
Driving Landmarks: From Route 1 north (if you are on Route 1 south go past the exit and reverse direction) take the Charlestown Beach/Breachway Exit onto Narrow Lane. Go 0.9 miles on Narrow Lane and take a left at the second stop sign onto Matunuck School House Road. 0.2 miles later take a right onto Charlestown Beach Road. Follow this winding road for 1.4 miles. After you cross the bridge bear right onto the access road for the town beach parking lot. Look for an immediate right turn onto a road leading back towards the salt pond. The boat ramp is at the end of this road. Parking here is for boat launching only.
RSVP required - the maximum number of participants is 15.
Please check the board before leaving for any trip. Our leaders provide directions as a courtesy to paddlers however, you are responsible to refer to a map and familiarize yourself with the trip location.
Face coverings and social distancing are required at the launch and take out, and any time people are closer than 6’ apart. Everyone will be responsible for their own equipment and launch. You do not have to wear a face covering while paddling, but you need to have something with you at all times for this purpose. Do not attend if you are ill.
