Hi folks – looks like we will have a nice day for our trip on the Charles River - sunny and in the 70’s with a light wind.

This section is called the Bays Region, and is relatively undeveloped except for some large houses as the river flows through Dover/Sherborn. The river starts off as marshland, but turns to woodlands as you get above the Dover Street Bridge. We will stop for lunch at the Elm Bank Reservation – about 11-miles up and back. I scouted it yesterday - a few pictures here:

Some sections are wide open, and it can get windy. Long boats are better for this trip. Bring a lunch.
