I'm posting this on short notice for a flatwater paddle on the North Branch Pawtuxet. Cindy and I will be paddling from Hope Dam to the big Gainer Dam and back (~ 4 miles), scouting out sampling points for her water quality sampling this summer. We will be stopping occasionally on the way up to record coordinates of her sample points. Anyone else is welcome to join us.

Meet at the access off of Hope Furnace Road in Scituate, RI at 10:30 am. Wetsuits or dry suits, or a change of clothes in a good waterproof drybag are required. Snacks and water recommended. We may go out somewhere for lunch afterwards.

IMPORTANT: If you usually travel to the access using Rte 116 from the north, there is a detour in place because the bridges over the river are closed! See info on the detours here:
