The trip starts off with marshland before entering into woodlands at the Rocky Narrows Reservation and the Mass Audubon Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary. We’ll stop for lunch at the picnic site at Rocky Narrows. The trip ends at the South Natick Dam after passing by the Praying Girl statue and under Sergeant’s Bridge. I measured it again, and the trip is actually closer to 9-miles – all flatwater, so long boats are better. As of now the weather looks good – sunny and in the mid 80’s with light winds. The river is a little low, but it should be fine. There will be a little mud and duckweed at the take out. Thanks to Steve for scouting it out - his pictures here:

We’ll probably get down to the dam around 2:00. Bring a lunch, plenty of water, and maybe some bug spray. Last time we were there, the mosquitos were brutal at Rocky Narrows where we’ll stop for lunch.
