Meet at 1:00 pm for a 1:30 launch.
Leaders: Cheryl Thompson 401-497-5887 firstname.lastname@example.org and Sharon Dragon email@example.com
We have moved the paddle location from Wallum Lake to Hopeville Pond in Griswold CT, due to Massachusetts's travel ban . Although there is a parking area in RI for Wallum Lake, it does not have enough parking capacity.
Plan to bring a chair, snack or lunch and beverage for a socially distanced get together after the paddle. We will also have a propane firepit. Trip is suitable for all.
Please RSVP. At this time of year a change of clothes in a waterproof dry bag is required.
Hopeville Pond Griswold, Connecticut

Take Interstate 395 to exit 86 and take Route 201 South, following signs for Hopeville Pond State Park. Stay on Route 201, which forks to the right after about a half mile. (where Hopeville Road goes off to the left); the park entrance is on the right one mile past the fork. Follow signs for the Picnic area.
Changes and cancellations to trips will be posted on the flatwater message board.
Please check the board before leaving for any trip. Our leaders provide directions as a courtesy to paddlers however, you are responsible to refer to a map and familiarize yourself with the trip location.
Face coverings and social distancing are required at the launch and take out, and any time people are closer than 6’ apart. Everyone will be responsible for their own equipment and launch. You do not have to wear a face covering while paddling, but you need to have something with you at all times for this purpose. Do not attend if you are ill.
