Bill and I had to put up with a little rain, and a few blow-downs, but we still had a nice run on the Blackstone from Plummers Landing to Route 16. There was lots of wildlife out today – herons, turkeys, deer, osprey, red tail hawk, and even a Bald Eagle. Two blow-downs completely block the river just after the canal, but the portage is easy. Otherwise, we were able to paddle over or around everything.
