Re: Wild and Scenic
Susan and I paddled the Bungay River on Sunday for the first time, north from the Holden Street put in , it was a beautiful paddle, surprisingly rural almost wilderness like in areas, no obstructions, no blow downs , no litter. We had to chip away at some ice to get the boats into the water, but I think that's melted by now. I think the water level was up on Sunday. Lots of bird houses in the trees along the way. About two miles in we started to hear rifle noises and I understand there is a range in there that is quite active , along with some car noises from the road at this end of the paddle. the whole paddle took us about 2 hours. Really enjoyed it I have a new boat and I may try it again tomorrow.
