I have “inherited” quite a few pieces ( dishes, cups, platters, bowls, tureens, etc) of Flow Blue. It is the “Oregon” pattern (no gold edging) by Johnson Bros., England. Small green marking on bottom of some.
I am not going to pretend to know anything about this collection, just that is has been handed down to me from a great grandmother. I am 69 years of age so that tells you how old these pieces are. I have no use for these pieces as I am not a collector nor the least bit interested in them.
I would have to sell pieces as replacement pieces as some of the pieces have minor chips and some have small cracks. Most pieces are untouched by flaws as far as I can tell.
So before I invest the time to photograph and start listing these, or take them to Goodwill, I want to get an idea from the Flow Blue community if it would even be worthwhile for me to list them here.
Thank you in advance. M. Allen

The Johnson Bros. OREGON pattern is not an aggressively collected pattern - people who own it usually do so opportunistically, either inheriting or buying partial sets at deeply discounted prices. Currently, there are no FBICC members who identify this pattern as a collecting focus, so listing your pieces here would probably not be worth the effort. I recommend taking the set to a reputable antique auction house and consign it there for auction as a one-lot set. This way you would recoup more than you would if you gave it to Goodwill, you would clear out all of the material you have no interest in, and your effort would be minimal.

Thank you so much for this info. I appreciate it. I will search for an antique auction house, here in Maine, if such a place. Again, thank you. M. Allen
