You might also want to try to sell on eBay - either directly or find a local seller in your mother's location. Or contact a local auction house who sells on premise and/or online. Etsy is another online selling platform to consider. That way you can consign the whole collection including the dinner set, unless you choose to do it yourself.
Having someone else do it will, of course, cost more. To simplify, they would also handle the write-up promotion, packing and shipping. The market for antique pottery, as a rule, has been slow the last few years - as in many other categories - so you might not get what you would like. But then, you might be pleasantly surprised. Hard-to-tell.
