Thank you George for your information and insight. The stapling was what caught my eye in the first place. The first digit on the Rd mark appears to be an 8 not 3, at certain angles the second number is unreadable. There appears to be 5 digits in total which makes sense for the date of the piece to be 1886 - 1888. Or even 1902 if the Rd # is six digits. On further research the looped mark is consistent with Minton 1886 but only as an imprinted mark not ‘painted’. Again, many thanks for your response.
